Anonymous Map received.

We received a map in the mail, anonymously. we are wondering if anyone has information on what it may be suggesting.  We are open to all ideas, so please feel free to post anything.  The map is posted at http://www.justiceforjohnsite.com/map.html   take a look and see what you think.  It says, "connect the dots, what else haven't we been told"

Looks to me as though Jill was abducted south of town, and articles belonging to her were discarded along the way, as the abductor made his way north to where the body was found.

posted in earlier blog here:
I heard the juror on the tape say that he kept looking for something to prove John's innocence. Isn't that illegal? He should have been looking for things to prove his guilt. That statement is proof in itself that they already had John convicted prior to the trial and were only looking to find things that exonerated him.

Repost from earlier: where on the map is Brian Hollars place of residence in relation to this map? That's what I want to see, and what's his habits? Where was he on the morning of Jill's disappearance. I'd also like to see information on the other two suspects place of residence's, and what about that guy who said he couldn't come back from Florida because of Jill?

Posted by: anonymous | April 1, 2007 06:25 AM

I meant to say California, not Florida.

Posted by: anonymous | April 1, 2007 06:28 AM

The location where Jill's bike is found is approx 2-3 miles on the same road where Brian lived at the time.

I am not familiar about the guy in Florida/California. There has been talk of Jim Izard the former girls basketball coach being involved. That has never been investigated to my knowledge. I guess he had a thing for young girls. He got fired from IU previously to Jill's abduction. There has also been talk of possible involvement/connection with the Chris Thiel suicide/murder. Apparently Mr. Thiel was not well liked by some close to Jill. He supposedly killed his girlfriend and then himself about 2 weeks after Jill being abducted.

repost from earlier:
Can you get a better picture of the map up? Or, is it somewhere on your sight? I can't make out the lettering. Does X mark the spot perhaps? If you allow the two green lines to make an X, could she have been abducted from the "X marks the spot"? Throwing ideas out there.

If you look at the home page, there is a link to the anonymous map that is much better than this one.

Some believe that some sort of satanic activity is involved in this crime. We have been told of various ways this particular map could prove the theroy of satanic cult activty. Apparently one of the suspects in the beginning had a close friend that was involved heavily with cult activity. It is said that he claimed to have done this to help move him up in his position. He needed to "get" a certain number of souls to qualify for the position.

Received another anonymous piece of mail, anyone? the following that mail:
I know there was a man in jail at the time Jill disappeared and was given a lie detector test because it was being said both in the jail and out in public that he knew the details of how Jill was taken and killed. The details that he claimed to know was that two female "escorts" had been "working" at Lake Monroe the night before and 2 unnamed men went to pick them up that morning. The 4 were smoking pot on the way back to town when the male driver hit someone on a
bike. Thinking she was dead, they tossed her and the bike in the back and took off from the scene. They drove to a remote location (also unnamed) and, discovering the victim alive, raped her. In this man's story there was no mention of the victim (Jill) being killed, wrapped in plastic, or tossed in a creek. The man passed his lie dector test and yes he did comment that it was no problem. I don't recall anyone mentioning the names of the escorts or the male drivers. I do recall that I heardthis long before Wendy was interviewed and that there was never any mention of it in the news.

If this is true, how did the Bike end up on Maple Grove? Two men, two women,in one vehicle with enough room for injured Jill and her Bike? What could they have been driving? This sounds pretty far fetched because of where the Bike was found.

Posted by: Hard to believe | March 5, 2007 07:14 PM

I drive a truck with an extended cab. plenty of room for 6 people but I doubt Jill was in the cab. She could have been in the back with the bike and a lot of people involved with this case are familiar with the area where the bike was found.

I fail to see what this map is intended to mean?

Posted by: Rosie | March 6, 2007 05:04 PM

I think the map is suppose to show relationships with clues. One of these clues is a radio that was left in a church parking lot. If John did this crime why would he have left a radio at this location? If he didn't leave the radio there, who did? The real perpetrator!

Posted by: Hard to believe | March 6, 2007 07:10 PM

I don't get what the map means either. No clue as to who sent it? I am unsure of how the dots can be connected. Odd though how it is basically in a straight line.

Posted by: I don'tget it | March 6, 2007 08:11 PM

Why would a radio be left at a church? Whose radio was it? If it belonged to Jill or the perperator what is the purpose? Unless someone was trying to leave a message or frame someone for the incident. What church was it left at?

A woman in Monroe County, a prostitute, claims she worked with the victim. She says the victim threatened the owner of the call girl service with exposure if she didn't get a bigger cut. Lang and the prosecutor refused to interview her. There were also half a dozen possible witnesses to Jill's abduction that Lang refused to interview. John may well be innocent.

Posted by: Anonymous | March 7, 2007 05:26 PM

Why would Lang not want to interview the woman mentioned, the one that said she worked with the victim?
Through the grapevine it has been suggested that Mr Lang was leading the grandmother on with his woo's, she was a widow and a nice looking one at that.
Is it possible that the lonely widowed grandmother kept feeding good stories to Lang just to keep him coming back?
Lang seems to be a player and considering his old age
maybe he was having fun.

But, does it matter that an innocent man is paying the price for their games horney games??????????

Does anyone know who Todd Hill is and where he may be now? One article that I read stated that Alicia Sowders was charged with false informing when she said that she was living with David Sowders and not Todd Hill. Another article claimed that the false info she provided was that she was not living with a man who was a suspect in Jill's disappearance. So, obviously, Hill was an early suspect, but, I can find no more information about him.

Well, I posted this comment on a thread about the map, but I'll say it here, too: the map looks to me as though Jill was abducted south of town, and articles belonging to her were discarded as the abductor made his way north to where her body was found. Given John's phone records, Jill's computer log, the eyewitness sighting, and the locations of her personal possessions, its hard for me to see how he could have been involved. He may not be very likeable, but I don't think he's a murderer.

repost:
It still remains a mystery to me; there were people who early on came forward to confess, they had information and evidence, yet another man is conviced with no evidence, just an old womans "I think".
Since the conviction of Myers, I have read where other cases with proof of murder have been treated with kid gloves and the culprit gets 10 years suspended.
What goes?
Did Bloomington just need someone to pin this on, or was the offered reward just too tempting?

Posted by: Kate | March 6, 2007 09:13 AM

Who collected the reward money offered by the victims family?
Big question, how much did they collect?

Posted by: Todd | March 6, 2007 09:16 AM

Todd asks two great question - perhaps only the grandmother and aunt can answer these.

I know that we have freedom of press, but I just learned that the reporter (Laura Lane) you know.....superman's girl, well she seems to be good friends with the victims family and even pretends to worship at the same church. Wouldn't you think that her opinion would be all for the benefit of the victims family, right or wrong.
What skeleton is hiding in the closet, it seems that there is a major cover-up going on.

Just wondering?

Posted by: Sandy | March 7, 2007 10:56 AM

I think that Laura just wants the truth out. I don't think she is convinced of John's involvement either, but she wants justice brought about. She will do what she has to do to make that happen.

I remember reading about the behavior of the court bailiff and the jury in this case.
If were any one of those individuals, I'd pray that neither myself or any of my loved ones would ever be faced with having glowns in charge of their fate, especially one so serious.
It was very apparent that not one of these individuals really cared about their responsibility.

"letting off steam" really?

Can that kind of excuse be accepted considering the nature of the case?

I think that the time will come when each person that so recklessly handled this case will themselves be in need of serious consideration, at that point all of their indiscretions will flood their minds, and they will remember the day they held the fate of one young man in their hands and made a joke of it.
NOT ONE OF THEM will escape reaping what they have sown, this is not my rule, it's GOD'S, he will not be mocked!

repost: We are seeking any information that will help us to prove John's innocence. If you have any information, or would like to just comment in general feel free to post here. We have received many tips and they have greatly helped our cause. Nothing is too little ! We are also seeking information from various people that claim to have witnessed Jill being on the south side of town the fateful day she disappeared. You might want to look at the article in the HT by Stephanie Holmes on June 6, 2000. It states that
four witnesses saw Jill that morning. One person saw her southbound on
Harrell Road around 9:30 a.m. and 3 other people saw her northbound on Handy Road around 10:30 a.m. There were two bicyclists (man with gray beard and a woman) riding behind her as well.

Has the Jim Izzard connection been fully explored? It sounds like an interesting possibility, given that he married a younger woman, hid two aborted fetuses , and worked where Jill Behrman worked, and had been fired from two jobs before he killed himself, right around the time John was charged.
